A ready-to-install temperature control enclosure for heating loads up to 16A / 3kW. It is built around a Novus digital thermostat, prewired in a wall-mounted IP65 enclosure and tested under load before despatch. Plug it in, connect your heater and sensor, and set the temperature.
- Wall mounting and IP65 protection
- Simple control and setpoint adjustment
- Fitted with a Novus N322 or N321 digital thermostat, or an Ageon Black Line controller
- Sensor options: PT100, J or K thermocouple, or NTC. We will contact you to confirm the sensor type
- Direct switching of resistive loads up to 16A
- Internal terminal strip for quick connection, glanded cable entries
- 13A or 16A plug provided
The Novus controller is essential for reliable and accurate temperature regulation. As such it comes with the usual 3 year warranty. There is full technical support provided on the control panel. All other components are supplied with a 12 month warranty. The panel itself has a 12 month ‘Return To Base’ warranty. In the highly unlikely event it suffers from a technical malfunction we will repair or replace.
Please allow 7-10 days for final assembly, testing and delivery. These are typical lead times, please get in touch prior to purchase for our current availability.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which sensor do I need?
PT100 suits most heating jobs up to 300°C, J or K thermocouples go higher, and NTC is a low-cost option for water and HVAC. Tell us your application and we will configure the controller for the right sensor.
Can it switch my heater directly?
Yes, resistive loads such as cartridge heaters, band heaters and heating elements up to 16A (about 3kW at 230V) are switched through the controller's relay. Larger or three-phase loads need a contactor, which we can build in on request.
How do I set the temperature?
The controller arrives configured for your sensor, so you only need to set the setpoint and hysteresis. Our Thermostat Setup guide explains both.
Do I need a PID controller instead?
Only if you need to hold within about ±1°C. See PID Controller vs Thermostat.
Industry Applications
- Heater control - cartridge heaters, band heaters and heating elements
- Tanks, hoppers and drying cabinets - simple on/off temperature control
- Frost protection - trace heating and enclosure heaters
- Workshops and process equipment - replacing failed mechanical or capillary thermostats
For solar, pool and destratification systems with two sensors, see the Enclosed IP65 Differential Temperature Controller.
