Collection: Digital Thermostats On/Off Control

Digital Temperature Controllers For Heating Or Cooling

On/Off controllers are also known as digital or electronic thermostats. Unlike PID controllers they do not require autotuning and offer simplicity of installation and operation. The number of available contacts for switching is the last digit of the Novus product number. N321 is a single relay contact, whereas N322 has two relay contacts.

Typically one contact is used for primary switching of the control device and any secondary contacts can be assigned to alarms or performing an auxiliary function. Each relay output has an independent setpoint. General purpose devices can be set to heating or cooling mode depending on the application.

Our digital thermostat range includes models equipped with RS485 terminals for serial communication via the Modbus protocol.

Benefits Of Digital Thermostats

Our digital thermostats are suitable for upgrading the majority of mechanical or analogue thermostats. Below are the main benefits of using our devices:

  • Large Clear Display - clear indication of measured temperature to 1 decimal place
  • Adjustable Hysteresis - more precise control vs. mechanical equivalents
  • Sensor Calibration - adjustable offset for accurate sensor readings
  • Time Delay Parameters - improved output control with on and off delays
  • Additional Relay Outputs - N322/N323 have extra relays which can be used for alarms, signalling or additional controls
