This basic FieldLogger model has a single RS485 interface functioning as a Modbus Slave, with a USB host for downloading logs to a USB memory stick. Data can also be accessed via Mini USB using free NXperience software. The device gathers data from hardwired universal inputs, logging to 512K internal memory or an additional memory card.
Note: Ethernet port is not included with the Slave model.

Technical Details
FieldLogger is a versatile, powerful, and cost-effective data logger handling analogue, digital, and other types of variables with high resolution and speed — high performance and high connectivity equipment, yet easy to configure and operate.
It has 8 configurable analogue inputs that can read thermocouples, Pt100, Pt1000, voltage and current signals. It also has 2 relay outputs and 8 digital ports, individually configurable as inputs or outputs.
Up to 128 mathematical channels can be used to perform operations on the measured values. Up to 32 alarm events can be detected, allowing output activations, emails, and SNMP traps.
Its RS485 interface can operate as a Modbus RTU master or slave — on this Slave model, RS485 is the sole communication interface (no Ethernet).
FieldLogger has one USB interface for connecting to a computer (configuration, monitoring, data download) and another USB port for a flash drive for data retrieval. The 512k logging basic memory can be greatly expanded with an SD card.
Configuration: all FieldLogger models are now configured with Novus's free NXperience software, which replaces the legacy FieldLogger Configurator — no separate configurator is required. NXperience connects via USB or RS485 and provides set-up, online monitoring, logged data download, and export to spreadsheets and other formats.
