MPN: SSS5X

SSS Series Heat Sink for Solid State Relays, 100x100mm, No Fan

Product image shown is the SSS4X for illustration only — the SSS5X is visually similar but larger. Actual SSS5X dimensions are 100 x 100mm, bigger than the SSS4X pictured.

The top-of-range heat sink in the SSS series, sized for our higher-current EMAS solid state relays where SSS1X/SSS2X/SSS4X don't provide enough dissipation. DIN rail mounted, no fan required.

  • Pairs with: our EMAS SSR range - match the heat sink size to your relay's current rating and duty cycle

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the product photo exact?
No — the photo shown is the SSS4X, used for illustration since no photo of the SSS5X itself is currently available. The SSS5X shares the same general design but is larger: 100 x 100mm versus the SSS4X's smaller footprint. Contact us if you'd like exact dimensional drawings before ordering.

Which SSR does this heat sink suit?
It's the largest in our SSS range, for higher-current or continuous-duty SSR applications where SSS1X/2X/4X don't dissipate enough heat. Check your relay's datasheet for the recommended heat sink size at your load current and ambient temperature.

Does it need a fan?
No - this is the passive (no fan) version. A fan-cooled variant is available separately for continuous heavy-duty use.

Can I mount it directly to DIN rail?
Yes, it's designed for standard DIN rail mounting alongside the SSR itself.

Industry Applications

  • Oven & kiln control - heat dissipation for SSRs switching high-current heating elements
  • Process heating & temperature control - supports continuous-cycling SSR applications
  • Panel building - completes an SSR installation where thermal management is a concern
