The EMAS IF5M024ZM05-1 is the 24V AC/DC version of the IF5 multicolour beacon: five status colours (white, red, blue, yellow and green) from a single 55mm lens, plus a built-in 90dB buzzer. The supply (24V AC or DC) goes to the supply wires only, and colours are selected with volt-free contacts: each colour wire is linked to a common wire (black for steady, grey for flashing) by a relay contact, pushbutton or selector switch. It is the easy choice for relay-logic panels and for controllers with volt-free alarm relays, working from either a 24V AC control transformer or a 24V DC supply.
It fits a standard 22mm hole and is IP65 rated. For direct PNP PLC outputs choose the IF5P024ZM05-1; for mains supply choose the IF5M220ZM05-1; and for several colours lit at once, the IF5T 3-level tower.

Can I run it from a 24V AC transformer?
Yes. The IF5M024ZM05-1 is rated 24V AC/DC, so it works from a 24V AC control transformer as well as a 24V DC power supply. That makes it a good fit for older relay-logic panels with an AC control circuit.
How is it different from the IF5P024ZM05-1?
Both are 5-colour 55mm beacons with a 90dB buzzer, but they are switched differently. The IF5P is 24V DC only and each colour wire is driven at +24V straight from a PNP PLC output. The IF5M024 takes 24V AC or DC on its supply wires and each colour is selected by a volt-free contact, so it suits relay logic, switches and volt-free controller alarm outputs.
How do I wire it?
Connect the supply to the two brown wires only. Each colour then lights when its wire is linked to the black wire (steady) or to the grey wire (flashing) through a volt-free contact, such as a relay contact, pushbutton or selector switch. The buzzer sounds when the two purple wires are linked through a volt-free contact. Do not connect the supply to the colour wires. Is this a stack light tower?
No. It is a single dome that changes colour depending on which wire is switched, so only one colour shows at a time. If you need several colours visible at once, choose the IF5T 3-level tower (24V DC).
How is it mounted?
It fits a standard 22mm hole and is secured with an M22 nut, so it can go on any enclosure lid or machine guard you can punch for a pushbutton. For wall or post mounting, add the IKAD22 adjustable bracket and the IFAB03 pipe adaptor.
