What's the difference between this and the 1NO auxiliary version?
This variant has a normally-closed (N.C.) auxiliary contact, useful for fault/status signalling that needs to open when the contactor energises. If you need a normally-open auxiliary for a start/run signal, EMAS also offers the 1NO version of this contactor.
Is 9A enough for my motor or heating load?
9A/4KW is rated for motor loads; for resistive heating loads, the AC1 thermal rating goes up to 20A. Check the load's nameplate current against these ratings before selecting.
Can this replace my existing branded contactor?
