TxIsoLoop-1 and TxIsoLoop-2 simplify your application and avoid undesirable ground loops by providing single and dual loop galvanic isolation — a 4-20mA signal ground loop isolator with output powered directly from the input loop, high accuracy, galvanic isolation, and high reliability. This is the single channel version.

The 0/4-20mA input is measured and an identical isolated signal is reproduced at the output. Power is drawn from the 0(4)-20mA input loop, so no auxiliary or external power supply is needed.

Recommended for electrical grids where electric potential difference is a major risk, the TxIsoLoop galvanic isolator eliminates ground loops, ensuring accuracy and signal safety. This accessory, indispensable for industrial environments, operates with a response time of only 2ms.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a separate power supply?
No — power is drawn directly from the 4-20mA input loop, so no auxiliary power supply is needed.

What's the difference between this and the TxIsoLoop-2?
Channel count — this is the single channel version; the TxIsoLoop-2 provides two isolated channels (or splits one signal into two outputs).

Why would I need a loop isolator?
To break unwanted ground loops between two pieces of equipment sharing a 4-20mA signal, which can otherwise cause measurement errors or equipment damage on grids with electric potential differences.

Industry Applications

  • Ground Loop Elimination — protects signal accuracy on installations with electric potential differences.
  • Sensor-to-PLC Isolation — safely interfaces field instruments with control system inputs.
  • Harsh Electrical Environments — galvanic isolation protects against transients and noise.
