2024 saw the release of a new and updated N1020, a small yet powerful PID temperature controller purpose-built for confined spaces and small fascias (1/32 DIN). Key improvements include a modern USB-C connector, easy push-fit terminals, an auto-adaptive control algorithm, and a ramp function — making it well suited to small-form packaging machines, ovens and kilns, laboratory equipment, and incubators, and a direct replacement for the CAL3300 or Omron E5GC. The 1/32 DIN format needs just a 22.5 x 45 mm panel cutout — our proven solution for an increasingly hard-to-find size. Simple to set up and cost effective for OEM volumes, it comes with our standard industry approvals of CE and UKCA.
It accepts most industry-standard temperature sensors and its 2 outputs can be configured independently as control or alarm. It also embeds an auto-adaptive PID control algorithm for best system performance.
Configuration can be performed either directly on the controller or via the USB interface with QuickTune software. Once connected to USB, the device is recognised as a serial communication (COM) port operating with Modbus RTU protocol.
