What's the difference between the two turn directions?
Left turn is momentary (spring-returns to centre when released), while right turn is stay-put (remains in position until manually switched back). This lets you use one switch for two different control behaviours — e.g. a momentary jog function on one side and a maintained selection on the other.
What happens in the centre position?
Centre is OFF with no contact made — both left and right positions are separated from it, so there's no ambiguity about the switch's state at rest.
