MPN: CP100FK

CP Series Plastic 1NO Spring Stay Put Red 22 mm Control Unit

The CP100FK is a red pushbutton with stay-put (maintained) operation — press it once and it latches down, holding the contact closed until a second press releases it. Unlike the momentary CP100DK, it doesn't need to be held to stay engaged, making it a natural fit for stop or hold functions where the button should remain visibly actuated. It's priced well below premium-brand equivalents and held in UK stock for fast dispatch.

Supplied with 1 x Normally Open contact. Accepts standard C1 and C2 contacts for expansion.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does "stay put" mean compared to a momentary button?
Stay-put (maintained) buttons latch into position on the first press and hold the contact closed until pressed again to release — unlike momentary buttons like the CP100DK, which only make contact while actively held down.

Can I add more contacts to this button?
Yes — it accepts standard EMAS C1 (N.O.) and EMAS C2 (N.C.) contact blocks, clipping on without tools to expand beyond the supplied single contact.

Is this suitable for washdown or outdoor panel mounting?
Yes — IP65 rated, protected against dust ingress and low-pressure water jets.

What's a typical use for a red stay-put button?
Red is conventionally used for stop functions; a stay-put version is useful where you want a visible, physical confirmation that the stop is engaged until manually released.

Industry Applications

  • Machine control panels — maintained stop or hold functions with visible engaged status
  • Production lines — latching pause/hold controls that don't need to be held by the operator
  • Panel builders & OEMs — expandable control stations using C1/C2 auxiliary contacts
