Industrial Remote Data Logger With Universal Inputs & MQTT
Novus LogBox Connect LTE data logger captures timestamped readings from 2 analogue and 1 digital input. Built for distributed assets, off-grid and mobile applications, it transmits data via cellular networks using standard SIM cards. Ideal for flow, pressure, temperature, level, and environmental monitoring. Supports MQTT for Publisher/Subscriber modes and integrates with Novus Cloud or generic brokers for online data access.
Records can be retrieved via NXperience Desktop (USB), NXperience Mobile app, or remotely via MQTT to Novus Cloud or any other broker (Mosquitto, EMQX, HiveMQ, AWS IoT Core, Azure IoT Hub, Google Cloud IoT, etc).
Novus Cloud STARTER is free for 180,000 records per year (approx. 3 variables logged every 10 minutes). The BASIC plan with higher limits is £140 annually.
In the event of a power loss the device can continue to record and transmit values, or — to prolong battery operation — transmission can be paused until reconnection of the external supply.
LogBox Connect LTE includes built-in temperature sensing, battery and power supply monitoring. It features a programmable PNP output and offers flexible 1-second to 12-hour recording intervals, with 10 configurable alarms supporting digital output, SMS, and MQTT triggers.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a Cloud broker to use this device?
To view and download remotely you need a Cloud broker. For local download via USB, use a laptop running NXperience software.
Do I need a special SIM card?
A standard micro SIM from any leading mobile provider works — test with a PAYG data SIM at the site first. A fixed IP SIM is not required.
Can I use the device purely on battery supply?
It has a rechargeable battery for limited standalone operation (up to 80 hours). The main power source is the external 10-30VDC supply, which can also come from a battery bank.
How much is a Novus Cloud subscription?
The STARTER package is free for one device, covering 180,000 records annually. BASIC costs £140/year with higher limits; a CUSTOM plan suits advanced multi-device users.
How easy is it to install and set up?
Initial configuration via USB with NXperience takes about 30 minutes. Once the SIM is active, register a Novus Cloud account and the device can be functional within 1-2 hours.
Industry Applications
- Distributed & Off-Grid Assets — cellular connectivity works where WiFi or wired networks aren't available.
- Flow, Pressure & Level Monitoring — remote sites needing MQTT/cloud visibility without local infrastructure.
- Mobile & Vehicle-Mounted Equipment — battery backup and cellular link suit non-fixed installations.
