MPN: MBZX024SE

MB Series Plastic 24V AC/DC 22 mm Buzzer

The MBZX024SE delivers an 85dB audible alert in a fully IP65-sealed housing, built to keep sounding the alarm in washdown, humid, or dusty environments where a standard indoor buzzer wouldn't survive. Its low 18mA draw means it wires straight into a PLC output with no extra hardware.

Pairs well with our PID temperature controllers and electronic thermostats as a fault signal wired to an alarm relay output. It can also be housed in one of our PY Series control boxes for a self-contained panel-mounted alarm unit.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I drive this directly from a PLC output?
Yes — at 24V AC/DC and just 18mA draw, it's compatible with most PLC digital outputs without needing an interposing relay.

Does this have an LED like the MBZS024S?
No — this is an audible-only buzzer. If you need a combined audible/visual alarm, the MBZS024S adds an LED but is only IP50 rated; this MBZX024SE trades the LED for full IP65 washdown protection.

Is this suitable for washdown or outdoor mounting?
Yes — IP65 rated, protected against dust ingress and low-pressure water jets, making it suitable where the standard MBZS024S (IP50) would not hold up.

What's the difference between this and the 230V version?
This is the low-voltage variant, suited to PLC/relay-driven circuits. If your panel runs mains-voltage alarm circuits directly, use the MBZX220S (230V AC) version instead.

Industry Applications

  • Food & beverage processing — audible alarm that survives regular washdown cycles
  • Outdoor & exposed installations — fault or process alarms on equipment exposed to weather or dust
  • Water treatment & utilities — audible signalling in wet or humid plant environments
