Compact PID Temperature Controller With Fast Setup
The N1030 is simple to operate and cost effective, popular with engineers who need a reliable PID temperature controller with automatic tuning. Its low-profile design fits narrow-depth enclosures, and the detachable terminal block speeds up wiring for rapid commissioning in the field.
N1030-PR operates on mains voltage and has two outputs available, configurable as control or alarm from an independent setpoint. The pulse output offers SSR compatibility with any Solid State Relay accepting a 5V DC input. Heating or cooling action can be selected via parameter change, and PID parameters auto-tune — the controller can also be switched to simple On/Off control if required.

Frequently Asked Questions
What's the difference between this and the N1030-PR-24V?
Only the supply voltage — this is the 100-240V mains model; the -24V version runs from 12-24V for control-panel, off-grid, or mobile applications. Specs and outputs are otherwise identical.
Can this replace a basic mechanical thermostat?
Yes — it's a popular, cost-effective digital upgrade from unbranded or mechanical thermostats, with proper PID control and auto-tuning.
Does it include a timer function?
No — for applications needing an auto shut-off timer (e.g. kilns), see the N1030T-PR, which adds dual timers in the same footprint.
Industry Applications
- OEM Machinery — narrow 35mm depth suits tight equipment panels.
- Process Heating — SSR-compatible pulse output for clean, silent switching of heating elements.
- Thermostat Replacement — upgrades basic mechanical thermostats to full PID control.
