MPN: PTM111

1NO Single Blue PTM Series Thermostat

The PTM111 switches your panel's cooling fan on automatically once internal temperature climbs past the dial-set point, extracting warm air and drawing in cooler ambient air to protect sensitive components. Its normally-open contact closes at setpoint and handles 10A directly, so most cabinet fans wire straight in without an extra relay.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between this and the PTM110?
The PTM111 is the cooling variant — its N.O. contact closes to switch a fan on as temperature rises. The PTM110 is the heating variant with an N.C. contact that opens once warm, for condensation control. Don't mix them up: wiring the wrong contact type into a fan or heater circuit will leave it running backwards (always-on or never-on).

How is the setpoint adjusted?
Via a simple rotary dial on the unit — no programming or digital interface needed.

Can this switch a cooling fan directly, or do I need a relay?
At up to 10A (230V AC), it can switch most panel/cabinet cooling fans directly. For higher-draw fans, add a contactor or relay between the thermostat and fan.

Can I use both a PTM110 and PTM111 in the same enclosure?
Yes — pairing a heating thermostat (PTM110) with a cooling thermostat (PTM111) at different setpoints gives you a full temperature band, keeping the enclosure within range whether ambient conditions run hot or cold.

Industry Applications

  • Outdoor & high-ambient control enclosures — automatic fan cooling to prevent component overheating
  • Motor control centres & switchgear rooms — thermal management for cabinets housing high-load equipment
  • Server/network cabinets in industrial settings — protecting sensitive electronics from heat buildup
