The Novus N321S is a Differential Temperature controller which takes readings from two NTC temperature sensors. In this application it monitors the difference in temperature between the grain store and outside air. When the differential setpoint is exceeded the relay closes which energises the ventilation fans. This forces cool air from the outside into the store. Over time the temperature inside the store will equalise and the fans will shutdown automatically.

We supplied additional cable to extend the internal sensor. To provide an accurate reading this will be mounted inside a ‘spike’ which can be placed directly in the grain pile. Our NTC sensors are made of high quality stainless steel to ensure a long service life.

Also included a very simple EMAS delay timer. Providing a staggered startup of the two fans to help with the high initial current generated with Direct Online (DOL) Motors. Fan No. 1 will start instantly when the differential setpoint is exceeded. Fan No. 2 starts after the adjustable time delay provided by the RR3 timer.
