N321-S Success For Air Destratification

We were approached by a customer looking to maximise efficiency in their air destratification.

Destratification is the reverse of the natural process of thermal stratification, which is the layering of differing (typically increasing) air temperatures from floor to ceiling. Stratification is caused by hot air rising up to the ceiling or roof space because it is lighter than the surrounding cooler air.

The end user had established a differential temperature controller would be best suited to this application as it would monitor both floor and ceiling building temperatures and activate the fan to direct, non-turbulent airflow from ceiling to floor. The objective being to keep floor and ceiling temperatures in relative equilibrium.

N321-S successfully replaced the OEM bimetallic thermostat and offered greater accuracy in temperature readings thanks to it's two separate NTC sensors. It also allows finer control of the process setpoints with it's simple to operate display.
