The RS485 version of the Novus N322 NTC is a digital temperature controller for heating or cooling purposes with 2 independent setpoints, giving 2 relay outputs with independent parameters for direct control of elements, compressors, fans, and valves — no SSR required for simple installation, backed by a 16A relay with Novus reliability. With RS485 built in, it uses Modbus for remote monitoring and integrates with SCADA or a PLC via a serial network, making it well suited to breweries, HVAC, and agriculture.
Operating range is -50 to +120 degrees Celsius with the supplied NTC sensor. The output control can be refined with adjustable hysteresis and on/off time delays, giving a gentle response with thermostatic control. The N322 will replace or upgrade the majority of manual or programmable thermostats used in industry. With the RS485 version, parameters such as setpoint (SV) and process value (PV) can be read from the device using the Modbus register table.
