Collection: Signal Towers & Beacons

Signal Towers, Stack Lights And LED Beacons

Machine status signals that operators can read at a glance from across the shop floor. Our EMAS range covers compact multicolour beacons, 3-level light towers, single-colour alarm beacons with buzzers and large 120mm beacons. Most models mount through a standard 22mm hole, the same as a pushbutton, so they fit straight onto a guard, enclosure lid or robot cell without a separate tower base.

How To Choose

  • Tower or beacon? A tower such as the IF5T 3-level light tower shows red, yellow and green at the same time. A multicolour beacon such as the IF5P shows one of five colours from a single, more compact dome.
  • Supply and switching: 24V DC PNP models run directly from PLC outputs (IF5P, IF3P); NPN (sinking) outputs need the IF3N; 24V AC/DC models suit relay contacts and control transformers (IF5R, IF5G); mains panels can use the IF5M 230V AC.
  • Buzzer: add an audible alert where a light alone might be missed. The IF5T024ZM05-1 is the buzzer version of the 3-level tower.
  • Size and environment: the IF3 is a low-profile IP67 dome for tight clearances and washdown; the IT120 is a large 120mm beacon for noisy, large-scale areas.
  • Mounting: for wall or post mounting of IF5 models, use the IKAD22 wall bracket with the IFAB03 pipe adaptor.

What Do The Colours Mean?

IEC 60204-1 assigns red to emergency or hazardous conditions, yellow to abnormal conditions, green to normal running and blue to mandatory action. White has no assigned meaning and is often used for "machine on" or "operator call".
