The Novus NP640 1/4 NPT (8801211600) is a 0-160 bar pressure transmitter with a 4-20mA two-wire output, built in 316 stainless steel with an oil-filled piezoresistive sensor for ±0.25% accuracy. The 1/4 NPT thread and high range suit hydraulic systems, pump test rigs and other high-pressure applications. It works from the box on the factory 0-160 bar range, or can be rescaled down to a third of full scale (about 0-53 bar) for better resolution.
As with all NP640 models of 16 bar and above, this is a sealed relative transmitter, referenced to a sealed 1 bar rather than open to atmosphere. This keeps moisture out of the sensor in demanding environments.
Need a lower range or a BSP thread? See the NP640 1/2 BSP, 0-10 bar version.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does sealed relative pressure mean?
The sensor is referenced to a sealed 1 bar rather than vented to atmosphere. At altitude the reading can shift slightly with local air pressure, and the Zero Correction function in the configuration software removes this offset.
What is the difference between this and the 1/2 BSP version?
This model has a 1/4 NPT thread and a 0-160 bar range for hydraulics and high-pressure systems. The 1/2 BSP version covers 0-10 bar for general industrial and water systems.
Can I add a local digital readout?
Yes. Our LoopView loop-powered indicator plugs onto the same DIN 43650 connector for a local reading.
Can I change the range?
Yes, down to a third of full scale. Rescaling needs the TxConfig-USB-DIN43650 interface with free SigNow or TxConfig II software. Contact us if you need one.
