The EMAS L61K13MEP121 is a metal-body limit switch with an 18mm plastic roller arm, rated IP67 and supplied pre-wired with a 2m cable. The plastic roller is less likely to mark painted, polished or coated surfaces than a metal roller, making it the preferred alternative to the metal-roller L61K13MEM121 where the actuating part has a finished surface.
- 18mm plastic roller arm, angular action
- 1NO+1NC snap-action contacts
- IP67 metal body, pre-wired 2m cable
- 10 million mechanical operations

Frequently Asked Questions
Should I choose the plastic or the metal roller?
Choose the plastic roller (L61K13MEP121) where the cam, door or product has a painted, polished or coated finish that should not be marked. Choose the metal roller (L61K13MEM121) where the switch is exposed to abrasive dirt, impact or heavy wear.
What is the difference between the L51 and L61 series?
Both have metal bodies, 1NO+1NC snap-action contacts and a 3A AC15 rating. The L61 is sealed to IP67 and supplied pre-wired with a 2m cable, so no terminal wiring is needed on site. The L51 is IP65 and is wired to internal screw terminals through a cable gland.
Does it come with cable?
Yes. It is supplied pre-wired with 2 metres of cable, ready to connect into a junction box or control panel.
Is it suitable for wash-down areas?
Yes. IP67 protects against dust ingress and temporary immersion in water, and the operating range of -25 to +80 °C covers cold rooms as well as heated process areas.
Industry Applications
- Conveyors and sortation — position and end-of-travel detection on painted or coated conveyor parts
- Food and beverage processing — IP67 sealing for wash-down zones
- Doors, guards and hatches — open/closed position monitoring on finished machine panels
