The Large Reflector for Easier Alignment Over Longer Distances
The EMAS SPQREF2 is a 100x100mm plastic reflector made by EMAS for its SPQ series retro-reflective photoelectric sensors. Mounted opposite the sensor, it returns the light beam so that the sensor switches whenever an object passes between them. Its large reflective area returns more light than the compact 40x60mm version, which makes alignment easier on wide conveyors, doorways and crane runs.

Which sensors does it work with?
It is the EMAS reflector for the SPQ series retro-reflective sensors, such as the SPQ50RP2CC2 (2m cable) and SPQ50RP2CSX (M12 connector). Diffuse-reflection sensors detect the object itself and do not need a reflector.
Why choose the larger reflector?
A bigger reflective area returns more of the beam, so the sensor is easier to align and more tolerant of vibration or slight movement, which helps when working towards the sensor's full range. For short distances or tight spaces the compact SPQREF1 40x60mm reflector is enough.
How should it be mounted?
Fix it squarely facing the sensor on a rigid surface so it cannot move out of the beam. Keep the face clean, as dust and oil reduce the reflected light and the working range.
